Un freddo e grigio pomeriggio di novembre nel 1997. Devo vedere un ragazzino per via degli attacchi d’asma che vanno avanti da circa otto mesi. Hanno provato tante cose, hanno deciso di provare anche con la terapia cranio sacrale. Si chiama Andrea, ha 6 anni: mi guarda di striscio, come la gran parte dei bambini in studio, che non vogliono stare lì ma preferirebbero giocare da qualche altra parte.
Si mette sul lettino e appoggio delicatamente le mani sulla sua testa, non rilevo particolari restrizioni o disfunzioni: è un bel bimbo, in salute. Dopo venti minuti dentro me comincia a prendere forma l’idea che forse non smuoveremo granché. Ad un certo punto sento un cane fuori in strada che abbaia, nella speranza di trovare un canale di comunicazione, chiedo se gli piacciono i cani. Il suo ritmo rallenta, il respiro un po’ si ferma come se stesse trattenendo qualcosa. Lo incalzo, “ti piacciono i cani”?. Come solo i bimbi sanno fare, la pancia comincia a muoversi, capisco che l’onda del pianto sta per partire, inizia a piangere e sempre come solo i bimbi sanno fare, piangendo e con il labbro inferiore appeso, dice che gli piacciono ma che papà e mamma hanno dovuto portare via Billy perché a casa non ci stava.
I genitori si guardano e mi guardano con sorpresa, intanto Andrea (e a seguire sua mamma) piange a più non posso, la pancia sembra il mare d’inverno, onde di emozioni che emergono, la gabbia toracica di un’elasticità che solo nei bimbi possiamo vedere.
Circa dieci mesi prima avevano dovuto dar via un cagnolino che avevano preso per Andrea, ma poi ci avevano ripensato, come spesso capita.
In conclusione, d’accordo con i genitori fissammo il secondo appuntamento ad un mese circa. Due giorni dopo però, decisero di prendere un nuovo cucciolo di Beagle. Andrea non ebbe più attacchi d’asma, ci salutammo al telefono un mese e anche due mesi dopo quell’incontro.
E’ sempre sul sistema respiratorio che impattano la separazione, le perdita, la morte, la paura della morte.
Un grazie particolare a quel cane che quel giorno in quel preciso istante decise di abbaiare fuori dal mio studio.
